Subframes
We engineer both front and rear subframes that support customer requirements for smooth handling, crash impact, and weight reduction.
Subframes are a key component to absorbing engine vibration and uneven road conditions. Our engineers are knowledgeable about materials, design, and vehicle-level requirements to ensure the parts they design will interface with other components in the body and the suspension to enhance performance. We work closely with our customers to ensure our designs meet and exceed Noise/Vibration/Handling targets. Our subframes are designed to withstand corrosion and to meet crash requirements.
The close coordination between our design and CAE engineers allows us to optimize subframes above and beyond the specs. We are constantly seeking solutions to reduce weight—either through insightful engineering or through material selection—to give our customers every advantage to meet their fuel economy targets.
